OUR WHY
Caring for a loved one can be both rewarding and challenging. It requires immense physical, emotional, and mental strength. As caregivers, we often neglect our own well-being while taking care of our loved ones. This podcast aims to remind you that self-care is not selfish but necessary in order to provide the best care possible.
CareGivers Like Us will feature personal stories from caregivers who have gone through similar experiences and have found ways to cope and thrive. We will also have experts in the field of caregiving, from medical professionals to wellness coaches, who will provide valuable insights and tips.
Meet the Hosts

Vaughn Fahie
Hi friends! I’m Vaughn Fahie. My journey of care giving started December 8, 2017 When my beautiful mother Celia had her stroke and ended this past year.
My wife and son embraced these circumstances and new chapter, changing our lifestyle and moving into moms house. In a short amount of time, We have created an atmosphere of love and safety as mom also has beginning signs of Dementia
For us male caregivers, by us sharing our challenges and journey may it bring us all together and give men the platform to create the space needed to step into vulnerability and courageously strengthen one another as we face the unknown.

Ms. Christi
Hello there ! I’m Coach Christi and was the caregiver to my son for 30 years. He was born with a rare-genetic syndrome called (BBS) Bardet-Biedl Syndrome. From his birth this has created a life journey of chronic heart, lung, and kidney failure, which also has symptoms of Intellectual disabilities, blindness, and many ciliopathic effects. Due to the genetics of this disorder my two oldest grandchildren also share this very same syndrome. ❤️
It’s been a true practice of self care and healing as My family and I have struggled with our circumstances. Through several avenues of counseling, and leadership seminars, I’ve become a life coach as well as a grief recovery specialist. ❤️
